“This is lovely. I first read The Third Policeman in the late 1970s and I was gobsmacked. It's the strangest science fiction book ever written. What is strangest of all is that it was written at a time when the scientific concepts you list so lucidly were only in their nascent development. How did Brian O'Nolan (Flann O'Brien) know all this in Dublin in 1940? Only recently have I found that he know Erwin Schrödinger he worked in Dublin for about 17 years, Anyway very nice work!!”
